Good to know

Nothing to install. Bookmark this page or pin the tab; Copy link puts your format in the address, so the bookmark is the whole setup and you can share it. Pinned tabs hide the title, which is why the icon shows today’s date. Prefer a window of its own? Your browser can install datetime-tab as an app, and it then works offline too.

Browsers slow down timers in background tabs to save battery. datetime-tab keeps its timer in a background worker, which most browsers throttle far less, but a title with seconds can still lag in a long-hidden tab until you look at it again. Formats without seconds are barely affected.
